What are Illumino LED Lash Extensions? Are they safe?
Illumino-Certified LED Lash Extensions are a FABULOUS, EXCITING, innovative new technology in the Lash Industry! This method utilizes Lash Extensions applied & grafted one by one, and cured INSTANTLY using an exclusively designed & rigorously safety-rated, patented LED Visible Light device. It has not one, but two third-party safety ratings. In addition, this light is not on the same spectrum as Ultra Violet (UV) light, which is too strong to be used safely in the eye area. The LED visible light used in this device is extremely safe. You will not see or sense the tiny light at all during application. There are numerous advantages to using this method to perform an Eyelash Extension services, particularly regarding health & safety of the eye area. Because the adhesive used contains no stabilizers and fewer ingredients, as well as being cured instantly by the visible light device, there are no fumes to cause irritation - which means no red eyes afterwards :)
Do Lash Extensions damage your natural lashes?
No, they do not. Your natural lashes have a growing and shedding cycle they go through, whether or not you are wearing extensions! Once your natural lashes shed, the extensions fall with them as well, since they are not applied to the skin of your eyelid, and are bonded to a single eyelash hair. (Please NOTE: Professionally-applied eyelash extensions are NOT the same as any other type of cheap lash enhancement such as strip lashes or clusters, which require no training, license or certification.) In contrast, I am fully double-licensed & double-certified and have been applying lash extensions for well over a decade on both the East and West Coasts, in luxury salon settings.
Are they waterproof?
Yes, it's safe for these LED-cured lashes to be wet - immediately! As soon as the appointment is complete!. After you get them wet, please press/blot them gently and carefully with a paper towel (NOT TISSUES) and when they are dry, gently use the tip of a spoolie to arrange them. (Do not brush through from base to tip, like putting on mascara. This can pull on them unnecessarily)
Can I wash my face?
Yes, you can, and it is absolutely necessary to practice excellent face and eye hygiene while wearing extensions. Take extra care around your lashes (NO oils, heavy creams, micellar cleansers or facial cleanser on lashes!!!!!!). You will be able to purchase lash shampoo from your stylist at your appointment, this is the only product that should be used to clean your eyelids and eyelashes.
How long do they take to apply?
About 2-3 hours INITIALLY, depending on your desired eyelash look. Maintenance appointments (FILLS) take 60 - 90 mins ON AVERAGE. Many people look forward to their relaxing "lash nap", and the studio is very cozy, with blankets provided for your comfort.
How long do they last?
To maintain a lush, full look, LED Lash Extension maintenance appointments ("fills") are recommended every 3-4 weeks (traditional lash extensions require 1-3 weeks maintenance depending on the style chosen!) and can vary between 60 and 90 minutes depending on your preferred lash type/style, and how many natural lashes have shed since your last fill. As long as you avoid oil and waterproof makeup, high heat directly on the lashes, wash them every day with lash shampoo, and don't rub or pull them, your lashes should be able to look good for an average of 3-4 weeks between appointments. (If you have not been to a fill appointment for longer than three weeks, OR/and are missing more than 50% of your lashes, please notify your lash tech prior to your appointment, as you may require a longer appointment to restore your desired lash look.) At your first fill appointment after your full set, your lash tech will inform you about whether 2, 3, or 4 weeks is more appropriate for you. (It may depend on a variety of factors such as lifestyle or medication.) During very hot or very cold weather shifts, this causes a change in our hormones, which affects hair retention. It is normal to shed more during that time, and you may feel the need to schedule an extra 30 min or 60 min appointment sooner or in addition to your normal lash appointment.
Can you wear mascara?
You can wear mascara on Classic Lash styles safely, but I do not recommend Waterproof mascara because it is extremely hard to remove from extensions. If you are wearing and removing it daily it will cause you to rub and pull on the extensions too much. Not recommended to wear mascara on Hybrid or Volume styles, as it will close the delicate fans and make them appear clumpy. Plus, why would you want to wear mascara on these full styles, when you can just wake up every day looking this fabulous? ;)
Can they be removed?
Absolutely! It's rare that I'm ever asked to remove lash extensions, but if you will be having eye surgery or ocular cosmetic surgery it is often necessary. (Once your doctor says you are safely healed, a full set of lashes can then be applied.)

- LATE ARRIVAL -
If you are running late or unable to make your appointment please inform me!
If you expect that you will be later than 10 minutes, PLEASE notify me ASAP (971)269-8187. If you are later than 10 minutes it makes me run late, and will result in your appointment being abbreviated, you will still be charged for your full appointment time. If you do not give 24 hours notice before cancelling an appointment, or if you are a no-show, you will be charged 100% of your service. All new clients are required to put down a non-refundable deposit of $50, which will be applied to your total service at the time of your scheduled appointment. If you do not come in for your appointment, deposit is still non-refundable. This is a by-appointment service, and I do not take walk-in appointments who have not scheduled in advance. Performing eyelash extension services is classified as micro-surgery or hair grafting and is a delicate process that cannot be rushed! :) Thank you for your understanding :)
- NO EXTRA GUEST/CHILDREN -
NO EXTRA GUESTS will be PERMITTED during your appointment, unless also being serviced or approved in advance, due to the compact size of my studio. (Service Animals are always allowed.) This is to insure safety & occupancy regulations.

I have a NO REFUND POLICY ON ANY SERVICES or products, due to the nature of my work. However I do offer a 24 hour grace period to notify me immediately of any concerns or discomfort, so that I may make any necessary adjustments to your new lash extension set where needed. Your comfort and enjoyment of your new lashes is very important to me!
